Dennis H. J. Linden, MD
Dr. Linden is an American board-certified Internist and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada. He completed medical training at the University of Alberta and was Chief of Interns at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton. Dr. Linden then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Center. He was an Alberta Heritage Scholar and completed his Royal College Fellowship at the University of Calgary.
Dr. Linden has been a practicing internist since 1988 and joined Southern Oregon Internal Medicine in 1996. He is the Medical Director of the Rogue Valley Physicians Laboratory and the Osteoporosis Center.

Albert H. Newton III, MD

Christopher M. Murphy, MD
Dr. Murphy is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician. He is a graduate of Willamette University, Salem, Oregon, where he majored in Exercise Science and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Murphy earned his medical degree with Great Honors from Oregon Health & Science University, in Portland Oregon, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Washington, in Seattle, WA. Dr. Murphy is a native of Medford and was elated to return and join Southern Oregon Internal Medicine in 2014.
“An important goal of mine is to assist patients in maximizing their health at every stage of their adult life, and I believe that begins with a compassionate and individualized approach. I am an avid proponent of creating healthy lifestyles through regular exercise and proper nutrition in order to improve the quality of life and reduce the need for medication. I relish the opportunity of building meaningful long-term relationships and hope that patients will always feel comfortable voicing their concerns, confident that they have been heard”.
Dr. Murphy’s an avid sports enthusiast, including basketball, tennis, and hiking. He also thoroughly enjoys working on his family ranch near Jacksonville.

George E. Schultz D.O.
Dr. George Schultz decided to become a physician because he enjoys science and caring for people. Getting to know his patients and helping them navigate through their health challenges are what he enjoys most about being a provider. “I try to make sure people get the best health care available,” he says. His philosophy of care is integrating whole-person health through healthy living and evidence-based medicine.
Dr. Schultz did his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University and his medical degree from University of Health Science in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed his internal medicine residency at Tucson General Hospital in Arizona. In addition to providing primary care for his patients in the Rogue Valley since 1998, Dr. Schultz cares for individuals living with HIV and provides support through all stages of their disease. He also offers consultations and treatment for individuals with hepatitis C.
In his free time Dr. Schultz enjoys spending time with his family, running and all the benefits of living in beautiful Southern Oregon.
Dorothea Murray, D.O.
Dr. Murray is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who believes the best care begins with a genuine connection. Her approach centers on understanding each patient as a whole person and empowering them to make informed decisions about their health. As both an advocate and a long-term partner in care, Dr. Murray works collaboratively with patients to navigate their unique health needs with clarity, respect, and compassion.
Dr. Murray graduated from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, D.O., Vallejo, California, and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Oregon Health and Science University, Portland, Oregon.
John B. Groves, D.O.
Dr. Ben Groves is board-certified in Family Medicine from the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2010 and earned his medical degree from William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg, MS. He completed residency in Danville, VA, at SOVAH Health, serving as chief resident in family medicine in his final year. From 2017 to 2020, he was on faculty at Sampson Regional Medical Center’s Family Medicine Residency. From November 2020 to November 2025, he provided outpatient care to adult patients at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.
Dr. Groves is looking forward to an exciting career at Southern Oregon Internal Medicine. He believes medicine to be both science and art. With the careful application of the most proven science aspects being of utmost importance in providing safe, effective patient care.
He is happy to be in the Pacific Northwest. He looks forward to sharing such a beautiful place with his family: his wife, Dr. Kira Groves, their three children, and two Newfoundlands. He is thankful for all parts of life and the blessings thereof. He has interest in literature, storytelling, and mythologies. Before scheduling a visit with Dr. Ben Groves, you should know he has an Appalachian English/Southern Accent, as he is a native of Northeast, MS. There is nothing he can do to help that, just like his receding hairline (which he failed to help).

Julie E. Graham, FNP-C
Julie was born and raised in the Philippines, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in agriculture, graduating Magna Cum Laude before moving to the United States in 2011. Julie then pursued a career in nursing, obtaining her associate degree from Rogue Community College in 2017, followed by a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Oregon Health and Science University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2019. She has extensive clinical experience, having worked as a cardiac nurse at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center for 6.5 years. In 2023, she earned her master’s degree in nursing with a specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Graceland University in Iowa. Furthermore, she completed La Clinica’s residency program for Community Health Primary Care Providers in October 2024. Julie is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Julie aims to provide person-centered, preventative, comprehensive, and coordinated care, which includes actively engaging patients in their health decisions, focusing on early detection of potential issues through screenings, managing a wide range of health concerns, and coordinating care across different healthcare providers when necessary; essentially aiming to provide holistic care for a patient’s overall health needs through a long-term relationship with their primary care provider.
Julie is fluent in Tagalog/Filipino, Visayan/Cebuano, Ilonggo, and Aklanon. Outside the clinic, she enjoys singing, traveling, gardening, and caring for her cat.
